Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact every school day by providing compassionate nursing care to a student who needs it most. In this contract opportunity near Osseo, MN, you'll work 1:1 with a 7th-grade student requiring dedicated support, including tracheostomy care. This role follows the school year calendar, with a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours weekly, starting as soon as possible and extending through early June 2027.
Qualifications and Experience:
Unrestricted LPN license in Minnesota (MN) Current CPR/AED certification At least 2 years of hands-on experience with pediatric patients in school, home health, or similar environments Confidence with tracheostomy care, suctioning, and supporting students with complex needs Reliable and able to accompany the student on the school bus to and from home
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver individualized nursing care based on a student-specific healthcare plan for a middle schooler Provide vigilant monitoring and trach suctioning as needed Maintain accurate documentation of care, interventions, and observations each school day Act as a collaborative member of the school health team and connect effectively with school staff and the student's family Embrace the unique challenges and rewards of supporting a high-need student throughout both classroom activities and school bus transportation As a valued team member, you'll have the chance to develop your pediatric nursing skills in a supportive educational setting, foster strong relationships, and see your impact daily in a student's progress and well-being.
