Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting students as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a dynamic school environment near Blue Springs, MO! This contract opportunity allows you to impact student health and well-being while working alongside dedicated education professionals. In this rewarding position, you'll play a key role in delivering healthcare services to students, collaborating closely with staff, and ensuring a safe learning atmosphere.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
Valid and active LPN or LVN license in the state of Missouri Previous experience as an LPN/LVN, especially in a school or pediatric setting Strong skills in communication, organization, and time management Compassion and a calm demeanor with children and adolescents Able to respond quickly and effectively to medical situations and emergencies Comfortable working as part of a multidisciplinary team
Special Requirements and Skills:
Ability to administer medications and manage healthcare plans for students with chronic conditions Experience with special needs populations highly valued Familiarity with documenting and maintaining accurate health records Willingness to provide basic first aid, care for minor injuries, and respond to acute health episodes
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Assessing student health concerns and determining appropriate care or referrals Administering prescribed medications and treatments Collaborating with teachers, counselors, and parents regarding student well-being Maintaining thorough documentation of health office visits and interventions Supporting the overall health initiatives of the school and educating staff and students about health measures Monitoring and supporting individual students with medical needs as part of their educational plan Ready to apply your skills and compassion in a school community while enjoying the flexibility of a contract position?
