About VanDoit VanDoit is a family-owned American manufacturer that turns Ford Transits into mobile healthcare units, commercial fleet vans, and go-anywhere adventure vans. We're a Ford Pro partner and Ford Qualified Vehicle Modifier (QVM), a registered NHTSA final-stage manufacturer, and RVIA certified, with 2,000+ builds on the road in all 50 states. We're growing our in-house shop at our Hwy 7 facility and adding a dedicated technician to own the chassis side of our builds: lifts, suspension, brakes, and underbody work on Ford Transits. What you'll do Lifts, 4x4 and suspension Install Quigley 4x4 conversions and Q-Lift / lift kits on Ford Transits Build and repair front and rear suspension: struts, shocks, sway bars and end links, control arms Diagnose and replace axles, differentials, and rear ends Diagnose noises, steering concerns, and ride-quality issues and fix the root cause the first time Brakes, drivetrain and engine Brake inspection, repair, and upgrades Turbo diagnosis and replacement Alternator installs, including high-output and second-alternator setups for upfit electrical systems, done the same correct way every time Oil changes, multi-point inspections, and TPMS sensor service Bumpers, wheels and exterior hardware Mount front and rear bumpers, bull bars, and related exterior hardware Mount and balance tires on our tire machine and wheel balancer, including larger all-terrain tires on lifted vans, and perform wheel alignments Install fender flares, running boards and power steps, and racks as builds require Confirm Ford parking and driver-assist sensors still work after any bumper or lift change on newer Transits, and flag conflicts before the van leaves your bay Service, fleet and warranty work Handle service and repair visits for customer and fleet vans (including government and law-enforcement units) with tight turnaround Work with our service and customer relations team on warranty repairs and comebacks Quality and paperwork Run a pre-delivery QC check on every job: torque specs, fasteners, test drive, photos Write clear repair notes and log accurate hours against each van Call out parts needs early and keep production informed so builds stay on schedule The shop Operate our alignment rack and twin-post lifts safely, using the correct lift points for Transits and box trucks Help set up and organize the new in-house bay: lifts, tire machine and balancer, air, and tooling What you bring Must have 3+ years of hands-on mechanical work on light- or medium-duty trucks or vans Real experience with suspension, lift kits, brakes, drivetrain, and tire mounting and balancing Comfort with scan tools and electrical diagnosis Your own professional hand tools A valid driver's license and a driving record that allows you to road-test customer vans Ability to lift 50 lbs and work under vehicles all day Pride in your work: you'd rather catch a problem yourself than have a customer find it Nice to have ASE certifications, especially A4 Suspension & Steering, A5 Brakes, A3 Drivetrain & Axles, A8 Engine Performance Ford Transit experience and Ford diagnostic software (FDRS/IDS) 4x4 / AWD conversion or off-road build experience Alignment experience on lifted vehicles Why VanDoit Help shape how our growing in-house shop runs Production, service, and parts all work side by side under one roof Work on custom builds you won't see at a quick-lube or dealer, from mobile clinics to lifted 4x4 adventure vans
