$10,000 Bonus!! Rates are now negotiable! Job Overview The Charge Nurse plays a critical role in overseeing nursing staff and ensuring high-quality patient care within a healthcare facility. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. The Charge Nurse will coordinate patient care activities, support nursing staff, and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes. Duties Supervise and lead nursing staff during assigned shifts, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team. Monitor patient progress and respond to changes in condition, providing appropriate interventions. Ensure accurate medical documentation is maintained for all patients. Facilitate effective communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers. Provide guidance and support in emergency situations, utilizing knowledge of emergency medicine protocols. Assist with specimen collection processing as needed. Support the training and development of nursing staff in areas such as IV infusion techniques and infectious disease care. Maintain a safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control standards. Skills Proficient in medical documentation practices and familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth. Strong understanding of behavioral health principles and practices. Experience working in a Level II Trauma Center preferred. Ability to lift patients safely and assist with mobility as required. Knowledge of emergency medicine procedures and protocols. Competence in specimen collection processing techniques. Expertise in IV infusion administration and monitoring.
