As a district float nurse, your skills and commitment will be pivotal in providing vital care and supporting the well-being of students in a variety of school settings. This contract position offers the chance to gain broad experience while serving as an essential resource throughout the district.
Key Qualifications:
Active Missouri LPN license (licensure required to be considered) Prior experience working with vents, tracheostomies, and g-tubes Comfortable floating between different schools and adapting to changing situations Strong communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families Dependable, flexible, and able to handle a diverse student population
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide nursing support to all students as needed across multiple schools Travel within the district to respond to student health needs in various locations Deliver skilled nursing care, including but not limited to ventilator, trach, and g-tube management Maintain accurate health records in accordance with school policies and state regulations Collaborate with school administration, health aides, and educators to ensure a safe, healthy environment In this impactful role, your expertise serves as a vital lifeline to students requiring complex medical care.
