We are seeking an experienced Wound Care Nurse ( RN / LPN ) to join our Parkwood Skilled Nursing team Full Time. As part of our nursing team, you will provide wound care to residents in long-term and rehabilitiation environments. Our Wound Care Nurse is responsible in creating and maintaining a plan that results in successful wound care outcomes. Wound Care Nurse ( RN / LPN ) -

Qualifications:

Current and valid Missouri RN/ LPN license. Must have prior experience in assessing and caring for wounds Assisted Living, Long Term Care/SNF or related experience a plus Experience with Alzheimer's and dementia is a plus Be a self-starter and able to work independently Ability to establish effective relationships with residents, family members and staff Wound Care Nurse - RN /

LPN Responsibilities:

Proactively assess, treat and chart on wound care service and progress Work on the floor as needed Chart on all residents under your care. Take on-call rotation with other nurse managers. Responsible for nursing care of all residents during his/her shift. Supervision of the nursing department and performance of staff assigned to his/her zone or hall including nursing assistants and medication aid. Provide education and guidance to the staff under your assigned area. Take verbal and written orders from medical personnel and transcribe, note and follow up on the orders and document the nursing notes.
