Job Summary Join our dynamic neurology team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) specializing in neurological care! In this vital role, you will provide compassionate, expert nursing support to patients with neurological conditions, including those experiencing acute and chronic neurological issues. Your expertise will help deliver high-quality patient assessments, medication administration, and care coordination within a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive patient assessments focusing on neurological status, vital signs, and physical examinations to inform care plans. Administer medications, including IV infusions and injections, following strict protocols and ensuring patient safety. Assist with specialized procedures such as catheterization, tube feeding, and sterile technique applications. Monitor patients' neurological responses and manage acute pain or emergent symptoms with appropriate interventions. Document all patient interactions accurately using electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies. Collaborate closely with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care for patients with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or other neurodegenerative conditions. Support discharge planning and provide education on medication management, safety precautions, and ongoing care needs for patients with complex neurological conditions. Qualifications Valid LPN license in good standing; additional certification in IV therapy or infusion preferred. Critical care experience or hospital medicine background highly desirable; experience working in neurology or neurocritical settings is a plus.
