Job Description

Under the supervision of the RN, provides direct and indirect nursing care that meets the physical and psychosocial needs of assigned patients. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility, and responsibility. Communicates with physicians, nurse manager, co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's condition, including symptomatology and results of diagnostic studies. Is able to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Graduate of approved school of nursing. Current licensure as LPN in North Carolina. Current BCLS certification required; specialty certification preferred. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English required. Additional languages preferred. Six months to one year's experience as an LPN preferred. Basic computer knowledge preferred.
