About Us:
The Arc of Essex County is a non-profit organization that provides services and programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Our corporate office is located in Livingston, NJ and we have programs throughout Essex County.Job Summary:
The Agency Nurse is responsible for assessing, coordinating, administering, advocating and implementing health and wellness care for assigned consumers and training staff to manage consumer needs as per regulatory guidelines. This role reports to the Director of Nursing Supports. This position is in person at our office in Fairfield, NJ and might require some commute to our programs in Essex County.Salary:
RN :
$80,000- $89000 annually ($50 per hour) LPN
- $64,000
- $73,000 annually ($35 per hour)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Provide and implement consumer care management to facilitate/coordinate needs as addressed in their health care plans Act as liaison between doctors/hospitals/nutritionists/mental health staff and programs Attend inter-disciplinary team meetings and relevant appointments Manage consumer hospitalizations Implement health and wellness components ensuring full integration of services into the program Conduct staff trainings Review medication storage and administration and maintain records ensuring compliance with regulations Conduct monthly Quality Improvement reviews Provide support to the Director of Nursing Supports in developing and recommending procedures and policies as they relate to consumer health and wellness needs Perform other duties as assigned Education / Work Experience /Skills:
Valid/current New Jersey State RN or LPN License Experience working in field nursing Valid New Jersey Driver's license Basic knowledge ofMicrosoft Word, Excel and Outlook Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlinesJob Type:
Full-time Pay:
$64,000.00- $89,000.
