1 Description American Traveler is hiring an LPN for a skilled nursing facility, requiring an active NY license and EPIC charting experience Details Skilled nursing facility/nursing home setting within the LTC unit Patient population includes residents with degenerative disorders such as Alzheimer's, ALS, and Parkinson's Patient ratio of 1:10 Evening shift, 5x8 hours, 1500-2300 Every other weekend required Must be available every other holiday, if needed May be required to float within skillset Requirements Active NY Single State LPN license required if applicable (NY is not a Compact state) Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required Nursing facility/nursing home experience required BLS certification required EPIC charting experience required Skilled in behavior management techniques and care for degenerative disorders (Alzheimer's, ALS, Parkinson's) Able to obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG Additional Information Responsibilities include medication administration, vital sign monitoring, pain assessment and management, and communication of patient status changes to RN/MD Facility for skin care including bathing and pressure ulcer assessment/prevention Experience with de-escalation protocols and behavioral health management preferred Scrub color must be any combination of navy blue and white First-time travelers will be considered Local candidates accepted at a reduced rate Candidates must have 10 or fewer days of requested time off (RTO) to be considered Previous employees eligible to return after a 6-month, system-wide waiting period
