Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a 13-week Long-Term Care assignment in Groton, NY. This is a day-shift opportunity offering 3x12-hour shifts in a long-term care setting, with the potential for an extension upon completion of the initial contract.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols. Monitor vital signs and assess residents for changes in condition. Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, and personal care as needed. Perform wound care, dressing changes, and other nursing treatments within scope of practice. Monitor and document residents' health status, intake/output, and response to treatment. Communicate changes in residents' conditions to physicians, RNs, and other healthcare team members. Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation. Assist with individualized care plans and discharge planning as appropriate. Provide resident and family education regarding medications, treatments, and care needs. Follow infection-control, safety, and facility policies. Collaborate with CNAs, nurses, physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members. Promote resident comfort, dignity, safety, and quality of life.
Requirements:
Active New York LPN license . Previous Long-Term Care / Skilled Nursing Facility experience preferred. Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts. Strong clinical assessment, communication, and documentation skills. Ability to work effectively in a team-based long-term care environment. Pay:
$1,776.00 - $1,800.00 per week
