Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) for a 13-week outpatient pediatric/family medicine contract in Honeoye Falls, NY. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced LPN/LVN who enjoys working in an ambulatory setting, providing hands-on patient care, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment and has strong communication, organization, and clinical skills.

Required Qualifications:

Current New York State LPN/LVN license required BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of LPN/LVN experience EPIC experience is required Outpatient, ambulatory, family medicine, or pediatric experience preferred Strong clinical assessment and communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment Flexible, dependable, punctual, and adaptable Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills Must be comfortable working with pediatric patients

Responsibilities:

The LPN/LVN will provide quality patient care and support clinical operations, including: Rooming pediatric and family medicine patients Obtaining and documenting vital signs Medication administration Vaccine and immunization administration IM and subcutaneous injections Blood glucose monitoring and point-of-care testing Performing and obtaining 12-lead EKGs/ECGs Phlebotomy and specimen collection Throat and nasopharyngeal specimen collection Clean-catch urine collection and patient instruction Ear flushes and administration of ear/eye drops Oxygen administration Simple dressing changes Medication reconciliation Pain assessment and management Patient history, allergies, and health questionnaire documentation Telephone triage and follow-up calls Pharmacy calls and patient refill requests Patient discharge and follow-up instructions Preparing aseptic/sterile procedure trays Supporting emergency response and cardiac monitoring Providing patient education and assisting with continuity of care If you're an LPN/LVN looking for a day-shift outpatient assignment with a pediatric patient population , this opportunity offers a great chance to use your clinical skills in an ambulatory environment while gaining valuable travel experience.
