POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) delivers both direct and indirect care in detox and residential settings to patients (14 bed capacity) undergoing substance use treatment, while working in collaboration with a diverse team. This role requires assessing and reporting signs and symptoms indicating psychological changes, contributing to each patient's individual treatment plan, and documenting changes and interventions.

Duties include:

Implementing treatment plans Patient admissions and discharges Medication administration Health Screening Assessments Caseload management Nursing documentation and incident reporting Patient withdraw monitoring and supervision Coordinating medical services Utilizing de-escalation and crisis intervention techniques Health education IV insertion and blood draw capabilities

EDUCATIONAL & SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The LPN requires the successful completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program, along with: Active LPN license in good standing 1 year of general nursing experience Previous psychiatric and/or substance experience (highly preferred) De-escalation/crisis intervention experience (preferred) IV insertion and blood draw capabilities, or willingness to learn Must be open-minded, flexible, and willing to take direction Valid driver's license or reliable transportation Valid CPR/First Aid certifications, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire High level of confidentiality Exceptional display of verbal and written communication Ability to successfully pass a background and drug screen

$23.00 - $25.00 per hour
