Local candidates only Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. This position primarily works the 2:00 PM-10:00 PM shift , with Sundays and Mondays off. Part-time LPN candidates are welcome to apply. The selected candidate must be flexible with scheduling , as hours and shifts may change based on staffing levels and the needs of the facility. Key Responsibilities Provide nursing care within the LPN scope of practice in accordance with the Ohio Revised Code and under the direction of an appropriate healthcare professional. Administer medications, including controlled and non-controlled medications, as permitted by licensure and facility policy. Administer oxygen, perform wound care, insert/reinsert catheters and gastrostomy tubes, suction patients, collect specimens, and perform other approved nursing treatments. Assist physicians and other healthcare providers with examinations, treatments, laboratory tests, and emergencies. Provide first aid and CPR when necessary. Monitor, document, and report patient conditions, medication reactions, treatment responses, behaviors, and progress. Maintain accurate medication administration and accountability records. Take and document vital signs and provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, feeding, and repositioning. Respond to patient alarms and provide one-to-one or group activities according to individualized treatment plans. Assist with medical appointments, patient transportation, recreational activities, and other direct-care needs. Provide guidance, orientation, and training to lower-level direct-care staff as assigned. Participate in staff meetings, interdisciplinary team meetings, committees, nursing meetings, and required training. Order medications and medical supplies as needed. Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and appropriate stocking of the nurses' station, medication room, medication cart, and related equipment. Complete required documentation, reports, and clerical duties. Qualifications Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Ohio Knowledge of practical nursing procedures, pharmacology, patient care, first aid, and CPR. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and healthcare/facility procedures. Ability to safely operate common medical equipment. Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills. Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and respond appropriately to emergency situations. Ability to establish positive relationships with patients and residents. Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team. Local candidates preferred/required. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule based on facility staffing needs.
Schedule Primary Shift:
2:00 PM-10:00
PM Regular Days Off:
Sunday & Monday Schedule flexibility is required. Hours and scheduled shifts may change based on staffing levels and facility needs. Compensation $24.00-$26.00 per hour , based on qualifications and experience. #
