Job Description

Category Schools - LPN Nurse Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in a student's daily life while utilizing your specialized nursing skills in an educational environment. An immediate full-time contract opportunity is available for an experienced LPN to provide one-on-one care for a 15-year-old student requiring continuous nursing services during the school day. Your role will be essential in fostering both the safety and academic success of the student by addressing a spectrum of medical needs, including orthopedic, respiratory, urological, and gastroenterological care.

Qualifications:

Current, active LPN/LVN license in good standing Prior experience with pediatric nursing or school-based settings preferred Familiarity with individualized healthcare plans (IEPs) and 1:1 nursing care Ability to monitor and administer care for complex medical conditions Valid CPR certification Excellent communication, organization, and record-keeping skills Compassionate, patient-focused approach to care

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing services throughout the school day Monitor and address the student's orthopedic, respiratory, urological, and gastroenterological health needs Administer prescribed treatments, medications, and interventions per IEP and physician directives Maintain meticulous documentation of care and communication with parents, educators, and medical professionals Foster a supportive and safe environment, promoting inclusion and student engagement in school activities Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or evolving healthcare needs

Role Details:
