LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) We are looking for reliable Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to join our long-term care staffing agency in New Philadelphia and Dover, Ohio . Agency shifts are flexible and you'll be able to pick your own schedule. Candidates must have at least six (6) months experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in a skilled nursing environment to be considered for the agency.

Checks rooms routinely to ensure resident's safety and well-being. Assesses and documents observations accordingly. Carries out instructions of the supervisor. Answers questions from residents, their families, and other nursing personnel. Assists supervisors in care and management of the unit. Maintain supplies and equipment necessary to the efficient running of the unit. Duties (this list is not all encompassing of duties assigned to the LPN) Understand Infection Prevention and Control and follow standard precautions at all times. Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the attending physician(s) and/or Nurse Practitioner(s). Document all pertinent information in the resident's chart - including daily and monthly summaries. Admit, discharge, and transfer residents by completing proper paperwork and making all necessary phone calls. Receive verbal orders from physician(s) and transcribe to the physician order sheet, medication list, and/or treatment sheet. Take and record vital signs. Complete rounds of unit and residents must be done at the start and end of your shift, as well as several times throughout your shift. Note any and all changes in a resident's condition. Confidentiality of all pertinent resident care information must be maintained at all times to assure residents' rights are protected. Provide leadership to all non-professional personnel assigned to the unit. Keep incontinent residents clean and dry. Follow established TIAN program and report fluid intake and output as well as bowel movements (characteristics of stool) as directed. Provide post-mortem care per policy. Keep work areas neat, clean, dry and free of unnecessary equipment and supplies, to prevent accidents. Handle emergencies by - remaining calm, evaluating the situation and determining the appropriate course of action. Others as directed by supervisory staff and/or Administration. Qualifications (Must-Haves): A valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Ohio. A valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate. At least six (6) months experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility environment as an LPN. At least six (6) months experience utilizing Point Click Care (PCC) for documentation.

Pay:

Up to $38.00 per hour
