The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Level I provides routine direct and indirect nursing care to patients in a correctional facility medical clinic under the close supervision of a registered nurse, licensed physician, or dentist. The LPN performs nursing duties within the scope of their knowledge, skills, and Oklahoma licensure while developing proficiency in providing patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine nursing procedures and technical nursing tasks in accordance with established standards and licensure. Obtain and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure. Assist with assessing and documenting patients' health status. Administer medications and treatments as ordered and within the scope of LPN licensure. Assist with implementing appropriate aspects of patient care plans. Monitor and report patients' responses to nursing interventions. Communicate relevant patient information to the supervising nurse or appropriate healthcare team member. Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation and patient records. Follow correctional facility policies, safety procedures, and healthcare protocols. Work collaboratively with nursing and medical staff to support quality patient care. Qualifications -

Level I:

Valid permanent Oklahoma Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license approved by the Oklahoma Board of Nursing or an LPN license recognized through the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
