Job Description
The Village a Morrisons Cove-Personal Care is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide essential nursing care to residents, assisting in their daily needs and ensuring a safe and supportive environment. This role requires strong clinical skills, a commitment to resident care, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals. This is a_ casual position _ requiring every other weekend and possibly one day throughout the week. Responsibilities Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians Monitor residents' vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team Assist with personal care activities, including bathing, dressing, and grooming Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe environment Asses residents for change in condition Document patient care accurately in medical records Communicate with physicians, families and outside services Oversee Personal Care Aides Skills Proficient in aseptic technique and infection control practices Experience working with older adults Knowledge of DME (Durable Medical Equipment) usage and management Strong understanding of infectious disease care protocols Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams Ability to provide compassionate behavioral health support
