Job Description

Role Overview:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides clinical support in an outpatient setting, assisting providers with patient care, diagnostic procedures, and documentation. Responsibilities include obtaining patient history, vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, collecting specimens, administering medications and vaccines, and maintaining a clean, sterile environment. The role involves assisting with minor surgical and diagnostic procedures, ensuring accurate laboratory processing, and supporting effective communication between patients and providers.
Key Duties:
Assist in patient assessments and prepare them for examinations. Support provider-led diagnostic and minor surgical procedures. Collect, prepare, and document laboratory specimens. Administer medications, vaccines, and intradermal skin testing under supervision. Maintain examination rooms, ensure asepsis, and prepare equipment. Follow up on diagnostic testing to ensure completion and accuracy. Communicate with patients, respond to inquiries, and document interactions.
Qualifications & Skills:
Graduate from a Specialty Training Program in Nursing. Experience in endoscopy is preferred; ACLS certification required within 6 months. Ability to provide care for specific age groups and work in a team-oriented environment. Strong organizational, communication, and clinical skills. This union role is full-time, with shifts typically from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., including potential on-call duties and every other Sunday. The position offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
