The Licensed Practical Nurse, LPN will provide direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of patients under the direction of a registered nurse of provider. The LPN will observe, report and record medical information and nursing care provided in the electronic medical record. The LPN will instruct patients and families according to the teaching plans. The LPN will communicate with the healthcare team to facilitate the coordination of individualized patient care. The Windmere office is one of the Penn State Health outpatient offices in State College near the small town of Boalsburg. On average, this practice will see 50 patients per day and serves primarily as a Family Practice, while also accommodating Pediatric Specialties and Family Medicine Residents. The Windmere team is seeking a team-oriented and personable staff member who remains motivated throughout the day.ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- The percentage of time spent performing essential functions is 95%.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
(S): Currently licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse by state of employment or holds a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact. Basic Life Support (BLS) required prior to completion of orientation.WHY PENN STATE HEALTH?
