Position Summary We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our dermatology team. This role is responsible for rooming patients, accurately documenting patient encounters, and providing direct support to Dr. Daren Fomin or Physician Assistants. The ideal candidate has strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent documentation skills, and thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment, that strives within team-work. Experience with EMA (Electronic Medical Assistant) is a plus. Patient Care & Rooming Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for evaluation Obtain and accurately document vital signs and medical history Review medications, allergies, and chief complaints Prepare exam rooms and ensure appropriate instruments and supplies are available Clinical Documentation / Scribing Accurately chart patient encounters in real time Document history of present illness, physical exam findings, procedures, and treatment plans Ensure completeness and accuracy of medical records Enter orders, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions as directed Clinical Support Assist with dermatologic procedures (Mohs, PRP, Cosmetic Surgeries) Prepare and label specimens for laboratory processing Provide patient education and post-procedure instructions Maintain infection control and sterilization standards Qualifications MUST BE a Certified/Registered Medical Assistant or LPN/LVN Dermatology experience strongly preferred Proficiency in medical terminology Experience with EMA (Electronic Medical Assistant) is a plus Strong typing and computer skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting Skills & Competencies Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and multitasking abilities Professional communication skills Ability to anticipate provider needs Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Team-oriented with a positive attitude Work Environment Fast-paced outpatient dermatology clinic Frequent standing, walking, and assisting during procedures Close collaboration with providers and clinical staff
