Required as needed Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join a telemetry/progressive care unit for a 13-week contract assignment. The ideal candidate will have recent experience caring for adult and geriatric patients with cardiac and multisystem conditions in an acute-care environment. The LVN/LPN will provide direct patient care, monitor patients closely, recognize changes in condition, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to support safe and effective patient outcomes. Requirements Minimum 2 years of recent LVN/LPN experience Recent experience in Telemetry, Medical-Surgical/Telemetry, or PCU Active South Carolina LPN/LVN license BLS certification

  • Required ACLS certification
  • Required NIHSS certification
  • Required Experience with cardiac monitoring and emergency response Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients Experience with a 1:5 patient ratio Ability to float to other qualified units when required Strong clinical assessment, communication, and organizational skills Travel experience is not required First-time travelers may be considered based on relevant experience Responsibilities Provide direct nursing care to adult and geriatric telemetry patients.

Monitor vital signs, cardiac rhythms, blood glucose, and overall patient condition. Recognize and promptly report changes in patient status. Provide care for patients with actual or potential life-threatening cardiac and multisystem conditions. Care for patients with conditions including, but not limited to: Sepsis Myocardial infarction (MI) Unstable angina Coronary artery disease (CAD) Monitor patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation as appropriate to scope and unit requirements. Perform blood glucose monitoring and related nursing interventions. Provide gastrointestinal care, including colostomy/ileostomy management. Provide feeding tube care and management. Follow isolation precautions and proper PPE procedures. Perform ongoing patient assessments and document care accurately. Respond appropriately to cardiac emergencies and changes in patient condition. Collaborate with physicians, RNs, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, and other members of the care team. Float to other qualified units/campuses when requested and perform only duties within documented competencies.

COVID-19

vaccination is not required under the facility guideline. Pre-assignment testing and required learning modules must be completed within the designated timeframe. Up to 16 hours of required modules may be completed prior to the assignment start. Required modules are completed annually. An orientation/compliance process is required before starting the assignment. Candidates must meet applicable distance/radius requirements for travel eligibility. Important Travel Policy Travel eligibility is subject to the applicable system distance requirements. Night-shift travelers in qualifying adult telemetry/progressive-care specialties may be eligible under the specialty-specific 50-mile rule , with additional rate adjustments depending on distance.
