Endocrinology Office Nurse — RN or LPN Magnolia Endocrinology, LLC 204 Parsons Road, Summerville, SC 29483 Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m
  • 5:00 p.m. | No nights, weekends, holidays, or call Hourly pay: LPN $26
  • 30 | RN $32
  • 36, based on license and relevant experience.
Minimum three years of licensed nursing experience required. Endocrinology, diabetology, or internal medicine experience strongly preferred.
BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH THE PATIENTS YOU CARE FOR
At Magnolia Endocrinology, you will care for patients over time—helping them understand their medications, use diabetes technology, and follow through on treatment plans. We are seeking an experienced RN or LPN who enjoys hands-on outpatient care, patient education, and working closely with providers. Responsibilities reflect your license, demonstrated competency, and required clinical supervision. You will be working with one of the company owners with 3 days clinical. The other 2 days are admininistrative to help the owner with assigned duties and responsibilities
WHAT MAKES THIS ROLE DIFFERENT
Continuity of care. Get to know your patients and support them through the challenges of managing chronic conditions. A consistent schedule. Weekday office hours with no rotating shifts or call. Specialty skills. Work with insulin pumps, continuous glucose monitors, and the technology patients use every day. Close collaboration. Work directly with providers and a small clinical team where your observations matter.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Patient Care & Clinical Support Prepare patients for visits, collect relevant histories and vital signs, and document medications, allergies, symptoms, and treatment barriers. Perform ordered testing, specimen collection, injections, and trained diabetic foot screening components within your authorized scope. Report concerning findings promptly. Recognize changes in condition, notify the appropriate clinician, and follow emergency procedures. Support care for diabetes, thyroid disease, osteoporosis, and other endocrine conditions. Diabetes Technology & Patient Education Download pump, CGM, and glucose meter reports and prepare them for provider review. Help patients with uploads, data sharing, and routine troubleshooting. Provide teaching appropriate to your license and competency on prescribed medications, injections, glucose monitoring, and diabetes self-care. Support device education after appropriate training. Reinforce provider-directed instructions for hypoglycemia, sick days, and when to seek urgent care. Communicate respectfully and without judgment. Follow-up & Coordination Respond to messages and complete callbacks within your role and protocols. Communicate provider-reviewed results and instructions and document follow-up. Assist with authorizations, prescription requests, referrals, and access to medications and supplies. Escalate threatened treatment interruptions to the provider. Maintain accurate eClinicalWorks records, coordinate unresolved needs, and follow medication storage, infection prevention, privacy, and safety procedures.
HOW RN AND LPN RESPONSIBILITIES DIFFER RN
responsibilities may include comprehensive nursing assessment, nursing care planning and evaluation, and clinical triage requiring RN judgment. LPN responsibilities include collecting and reporting clinical information, implementing authorized care, providing basic teaching and reinforcement, and assisting with evaluation under appropriate supervision. Concerns requiring independent nursing assessment or complex triage are escalated to the RN or authorized provider. For either license, medication titration or device-setting changes require appropriate provider authorization, demonstrated competency, and compliance with applicable scope and practice protocols.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of an approved nursing program and current, active RN or LPN license authorizing practice in South Carolina. At least three years of licensed nursing experience and current Basic Life Support certification. Strong communication, organization, documentation, and patient service skills; ability to perform assigned injections and specimen collection safely. Comfort with electronic health records and learning diabetes technology; ability to work collaboratively and recognize when to escalate concerns.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Endocrinology, diabetes, internal medicine, or outpatient nursing; patient education and chronic disease management. Insulin pumps, CGMs, meters, device download platforms, diabetes authorizations, and eClinicalWorks.
