This role is ideal for an LPN who takes pride in delivering dignified, patient-centered care that helps clients maintain independence and quality of life in the comfort of their own homes. Key Responsibilities Perform intermittent catheterization (straight/self-cath assistance) and indwelling catheter care, including insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting Administer and manage bowel programs, including digital stimulation, suppository administration, and scheduled bowel regimens per physician orders Monitor for signs of urinary tract infection, autonomic dysreflexia, skin breakdown, or bowel obstruction and report changes promptly Educate clients and family members/caregivers on catheter care, ostomy care (if applicable), skin integrity, and infection prevention Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, intake/output, and bowel program outcomes in accordance with agency and regulatory standards Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and perform other routine nursing tasks as ordered by the physician Communicate regularly with the care team, including RNs, physicians, and case managers, regarding client status and care plan updates Ensure infection control protocols and universal precautions are followed at all times Provide compassionate, respectful care that preserves client dignity and privacy Qualifications Active, unrestricted LPN license in South Carolina Current CPR/BLS certification Prior experience with bowel and bladder programs, catheter care, or neurogenic conditions strongly preferred (spinal cord injury, MS, spina bifida, etc.) Home health or private duty nursing experience a plus Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to client homes within [service area] Strong communication skills and ability to work independently Must pass background check and drug screening What We Offer Competitive pay with weekly pay schedule PTO Ongoing training and clinical support Supportive, mission-driven team culture BrightStar Care is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
