Job Description
Overview We are seeking an individual to join our Clinic Staff. The ideal candidates will have one of the following credenitals: Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Certified Dental Technician (CDT). This role supports the providers at Frankin Dermatology Group in delivering high-quality patient care for medical skin conditions as well as cosmetic treatments. The ideal candidate will possess a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient service. Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Duties - Medical & Cosmetic Dermatology Prepare patients for medical and cosmetic dermatology visits and procedures Perform rooming, obtain vital signs, and document patient histories Assist providers with exams, biopsies, excisions, and surgical procedures Assist with cosmetic treatments such as injectables, laser procedures, chemical peels, and energy-based devices Assist providers by scribing patient examinations and procedures Set up, clean, stock, and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms Administer injections and topical treatments per provider direction and scope of practice Provide wound care and post-procedure instructions for medical and cosmetic procedures Perform nursing procedures, such as blood draws, suture removal, and dressing changes, under the direction of provider supervision Take clinical photographs for documentation and cosmetic consultations Complete all required pathology and laboratory requisition documents and log all specimens in the pathology/biopsy binder. Other duties and tasks assigned by management. Administrative Duties Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) Schedule medical and cosmetic appointments and coordinate follow-ups Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and pathology tracking Process medical/cosmetic consents and patient education materials Maintain inventory of medical and cosmetic supplies Ensure compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and safety protocols Patient Care & Experience Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, skincare, and cosmetic products Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional, welcoming environment Answer patient questions in person and by phone with discretion and care Support patient flow to ensure efficient clinic operations Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming clinical environment Skills and Abilities Demonstrates a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care Exhibits strong communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrates receptiveness to feedback and applies guidance to enhance clinical performance Knowledge of dermatological conditions and procedures preferred Maintains reliable attendance and punctuality in accordance with clinic scheduling requirements Demonstrates initiative in supporting patient care and clinical operations Utilizes problem-solving and decision-making skills consistent with scope of practice Maintains productivity while meeting quality and safety standards Adheres to ethical, legal, and professional standards, including patient confidentiality Communicates effectively to manage and resolve conflict in a professional manner Demonstrates the ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical environment Exhibits attention to detail and strong organizational skills Education and Experience Requires a high school diploma or equivalent Requires a degree, license, or certification as a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA), or Certified Dermatology Technician (CDT) Requires 1-2 years of clinical experience Clinical experience in medical and/or cosmetic dermatology preferred Experience with EMR systems required CPR certification preferred Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time Manual dexterity for clinical tasks and device handling Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients as needed Occasional sitting, stooping and reaching Talking and listening in person and sometimes on telephone Requires occasional handling of average weight objects up to 20 pounds
