This position is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician. Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician. Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required. Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response. Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns. Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions. Qualifications Minimum of one (1) years working as a Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse required.
Education:
Completion of LPN/LVN nursing training from an accredited school of nursing. Minimum of one (1) year college or Technical School. Associates Degree preferred. Current BLS/CPR certification required Current state registered license for
LPN/LVN Knowledge:
General office procedures
Skills:
Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
Abilities:
Must be able to perform courteously and professionally in all interactions Equipment operated: Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system EKG machine Computer Work environment: Works in a well-lighted, OSHA Standard environment May be exposed to infectious and contagious diseases May be in contact with patients under a wide variety of circumstances Occasionally subject to irregular hours May be required to wear personal protective equipment as necessary

Must be ability to handle emergency or crisis situation Must be able to see with corrective eye wear Must be able to hear clearly with assistance Pay depends on position and experience. Must be able to pass a background check.
