Job Description

Infusion Nurse Job Duties Provide comprehensive clinical therapeutic infusion services to patients in a controlled medical setting Administer medications based on physician order/treatment plan/policy per patient Take vitals of patients receiving infusion per protocol Completes patient visit document and submits documentation according to documentation policy Open medication deliveries and store appropriately Keep a daily/weekly inventory of medications in stock Maintain supplies/inventory necessary for Infusion Suite Clinical oversight of all patient functions, including but not limited to observing signs and symptoms of reactions and reporting assessments to physician, any changes in patient physician, emotional or environment condition and patient / caregiver teaching Requirements Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice Must have experienced with starting IV/port access Experience administering medications and IV fluids via infusion (pumps utilized) Attention to detail/organization skills to provide quality care Maintain a clean workspace Professional with patients, families, physician and office staff
