Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN or Medical Assistant to join our team. This is a part-time/PRN position providing patient assessments, phlebotomy services, and vaccines to patients in their home or place of residence in Hampton Roads including Newport News, Hampton, York-Poquoson, Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Norfolk, Isle of Wright, Suffolk, Southampton, and Franklin. We offer flexible scheduling.Responsibilities:
- Obtain and document patient demographics and medical history
- Take and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Obtain blood and urine specimens to transport to Quest laboratory for processing
- Administer vaccines, immunizations, and injections as directed by healthcare providers
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical documentation using a electronic health record system
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
Qualifications:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant or LPN program or equivalent training
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support techniques
- Experience working in a home based setting is highly desirable
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a healthcare team We offer competitive pay rates for this position.
