Job Description

This position is part time 1-2 days per week and prn. Looking for a nurse supervisor able to work 1-2 schedules days per week along with covering for fulltime nurses prn.
PURPOSE:
The LPN's primary position is to supervise the daily duties of the CNA/Medicine Technicians and to assess residents, administer medications, communicate with MD offices, pharmacies
REQUIREMENTS
Licensed Practical Nurse Certifications required. Ability to adequately perform every aspect of the position. Anticipates the need in advance to provide support to care staff and formulates an appropriate plan to achieve the most optimal resident care Leads by example by arriving on time and maintaining fair, safe and ethical practices. Assists in ensuring a safe home-like environment for all residents, family members and co-workers. Is aware of policies and procedures of the facility and adheres to their guidelines strictly for the safety and security of all involved. Performs medical treatment and lab draws of residents as ordered by physician. Performs weekly nurse's notes and skin assessments and monitors vitals/weights. Checks electronic medicine administration record for accuracy, ensures exchange of appropriate information with other nursing staff, DON, resident, family and physician. Works with outside agencies, ie ambulance, therapists, hospice etc… to ensure quality care is achieved. Schedules staffing for facility with qualified staff required for resident care without OT in the event of a call off, no show or tardiness. Displays willingness to make decisions, exhibits sound and accurate judgment, supports and explains reasoning for decision-making process, makes timely decisions. Establishes and maintains effective relationships. Balances team & individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity & openness to other views, gives & welcomes feedback, contributes to building a positive team spirit and puts the success of the team above own personal beliefs.
