About the Role We are hiring a CAMTC Certified Massage Therapist / Sports Recovery Specialist to work with athletes, physically active clients, and general wellness clients across Granite Bay, Roseville, Citrus Heights, and the greater Sacramento area. The position begins at approximately three days per week and may grow to four or five days as the client schedule develops and based on the therapist's availability. Most sessions are conducted in equipped treatment rooms in the Granite Bay/Roseville and Citrus Heights areas, with additional mobile appointments at clients' homes, gyms, training facilities, sporting events, and competitions. Occasional prearranged travel to the Bay Area may be available. This is a W-2 employee position. We provide clients, booking support, marketing, equipment, massage table, linens, oils, supplies, recovery tools, and written treatment protocols. Services Sports massage and athlete recovery Deep tissue and therapeutic massage Traditional relaxation massage Brazilian lymphatic massage Mobile massage appointments Pre-competition and post-competition recovery support Paid training is provided in our sports recovery and Brazilian lymphatic protocols. Experience in sports massage, lymphatic massage, bodywork, or working with athletes is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate. Compensation First 90 days: $30 per worked hour After a successful 90-day review: $35 per worked hour After a successful 180-day review: $40 per worked hour After one year: opportunity to earn up to $45 per worked hour based on quality, reliability, client retention, schedule utilization, and business performance Therapist receives 100% of client tips Employer-directed travel time between assigned work locations is paid Approved business mileage, parking, and tolls are reimbursed under a written policy After 180 days, eligibility for performance bonuses of up to $2,000 per quarter under a written bonus plan Paid work time includes treatment sessions, required setup and room reset, SOAP notes and required documentation, required training, and employer-directed travel between assigned locations or clients. Schedule and Growth The role starts at approximately three days per week. Additional days may be added as the schedule becomes consistently booked and if the therapist wants more hours. Work may include weekdays, evenings, and weekends depending on client demand. Career opportunities may include Senior Massage Therapist, Lead Therapist, Studio Administrator, and Location Manager as additional treatment locations open. Future locations are being considered in Lincoln, Concord, San Francisco, and other California markets. Additional earning opportunities may be available through written commission programs for approved products or partner gym memberships. A future personal training path may also be available for employees who obtain an approved personal trainer certification. Required Qualifications Active CAMTC certification is required before independently providing massage services to clients Ability to keep CAMTC certification active without interruption; at least 12 months remaining is preferred Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to complete Form I-9 after hire Conversational English sufficient to understand client needs, explain treatments, and maintain accurate records Professional, respectful communication with men and women Commitment to confidentiality, sanitation, informed consent, professional boundaries, and client safety Ability to safely perform the essential physical duties of massage therapy Professional appearance and strong personal hygiene Interest in athletics, recovery, and continued professional development Willingness to follow company protocols and complete paid training Mobile Appointment Requirements Valid driver's license Reliable transportation Current automobile insurance that permits work-related travel to client appointments Candidates Working Toward CAMTC Certification We may also consider serious candidates who are currently enrolled in or preparing to enroll in a CAMTC-approved massage program. These candidates cannot independently provide massage services until their CAMTC certification is active. After obtaining CAMTC certification, completing hiring requirements, and successfully completing a paid 90-day introductory period, an employee may qualify for tuition reimbursement of up to 50% of documented eligible tuition costs, with a maximum reimbursement of $5,000. Approved reimbursement is paid in six monthly installments while employment and performance standards remain in good standing. Full terms are provided in a separate written agreement.
