Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a part-time (25-30 hours per week), skilled Massage Therapist to join our team. Our clinic has been around for 30+ years, we specialize in acupuncture and massage. For massage therapy, we primarily treat workers compensation and cash paying patients. The ideal candidate should have a calm but positive presence, possess a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and various massage techniques to provide exceptional patient care while being understanding and empathetic to people in pain. Experience working with workers compensation patients is a plus.Duties:
- Perform massage therapy techniques to address patient needs and preferences
- Conduct patient assessments to determine response to treatment and need for continued care
- Utilize deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other specialized techniques for pain management
- Maintain accurate patient records and notes on treatment plans
- Provide excellent patient service and ensure a comfortable and professional environment
Experience:
- Occupational health knowledge is preferred
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Proficiency in deep tissue massage and pain management techniques
- Experience in trigger point therapy for muscle tension relief
- Strong anatomy and physiology knowledge for effective treatment
