- Conduct physical examinations and assessments to determine the best course of treatment for each client.
- Perform a variety of massage modalities, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy, to alleviate pain and tension.
- Utilize medical terminology and anatomy knowledge to provide accurate and effective treatment.
- Develop and implement personalized massage plans to address clients' specific needs and goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized treatment space, adhering to all relevant health and safety protocols.
- Communicate effectively with clients, providing clear instructions and feedback throughout treatment.
- Keep accurate records of client treatments and progress.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest techniques and industry developments through ongoing education and training.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care.
Experience:
- Must have a degree in massage therapy from an accredited institution.
- Proven experience in a medical spa or occupational health setting, with a focus on acute pain management.
- Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a clinical setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to effectively communicate with clients.
- Experience with a variety of massage techniques, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy.
- Excellent patient service skills, with a focus on providing a safe and welcoming environment for clients.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple clients simultaneously.
