Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Independent Contractor Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. In this role, you will provide exceptional massage therapy services tailored to meet each client's unique needs, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. As an independent contractor, you will have the flexibility to set your own schedule while delivering high-quality treatments in a professional environment that values your expertise and commitment to patient care. Your skills will help clients achieve optimal health outcomes through targeted massage techniques and personalized assessments. Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address client-specific concerns. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual physiology and anatomy knowledge. Apply pain management strategies through effective massage therapy, ensuring client comfort and safety throughout each session. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding their treatment goals, progress, and any medical or physiological considerations. Adhere to all health and safety protocols, including CPR certification and occupational health standards, to ensure a safe environment for clients and yourself. Keep detailed records of treatments provided, client feedback, and progress notes in compliance with legal and professional guidelines. Stay informed about current trends in medical spa treatments and incorporate relevant techniques such as trigger point therapy or deep tissue massage into your practice. Requirements Valid massage therapy license or certification in accordance with state or local regulations. Proven experience in massage therapy, especially in medical spa or occupational health settings. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Certification in CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) is required for emergency preparedness. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess individual needs accurately and tailor treatments accordingly. Demonstrated expertise in pain management techniques and therapeutic massage modalities such as deep tissue massage or trigger point therapy. Prior experience working in a med spa environment is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for health and wellness is essential. $80.00 - $100.00 per hour
