Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to address client-specific concerns. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology knowledge, anatomy understanding, and pain management experience. Deliver facial treatments tailored to skin type and condition, utilizing medical terminology and skincare expertise to enhance client results. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain treatment procedures clearly, and provide post-treatment care recommendations. Maintain a clean, safe, and professional environment by adhering to health and safety standards, including CPR certification requirements. Keep detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with medical and spa industry regulations. Stay current with industry trends and expand your skill set through ongoing education in massage therapy techniques and med spa services. Qualifications Proven experience as a massage therapist with proficiency in Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and pain management techniques. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to therapeutic massage practices. Prior med spa experience preferred; familiarity with skincare products and facial procedures is highly advantageous. Excellent client communication skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and recommend appropriate treatments. Valid certification in massage therapy; CPR certification required or obtainable upon hire. Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service. Knowledge of medical terminology related to health conditions treated through massage therapy is a plus.
