A Massage Therapist uses massage to relieve tension, pain, and other ailments in patients, and promote general well-being. May specialize in a certain type of massage, such as deep-tissue or sports massage. May be self-employed or work in a private practice, spa, fitness center, or medical or chiropractic care facility.
Monday through Friday, 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM (depending on the season)
Weekends:
Saturday and Sunday, two shifts available between 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM or 8:00 PM (depending on the season)
Note:
Full-time hours can be achieved by combining weekday and weekend blocks. There is also excellent opportunity for room to extend hours later into the morning or evening if desired once a trusted client base is established.
Compensation:
$40 per hour base rate + 100% of your tips (Paid weekly every Friday, with intentional opportunities to grow your hourly rate over time)

I supply all standard linens, the massage table, lotions, oils, and necessary equipment.

All booking software, payment processing, and promotional marketing are fully managed for you so you can focus entirely on delivering exceptional bodywork.
Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional, customized massage therapy sessions during your designated shift based on individual client health histories and specific preferences. Utilize your preferred modalities in accordance with the clients' needs, demonstrating the ability to flow freely through different pressures and strokes within each customized massage. Proactively communicate with clients to ensure comfort, appropriate pressure adjustments, and safety during treatments. Maintain complete and accurate client documentation and treatment notes. Ensure the treatment space is clean, sanitized, and perfectly reset at the end of your shift for seamless sharing.
Requirements:
Must hold an active and valid Massage Therapist License in the state of Florida. Must independently maintain your own biennial Continuing Education (CE) requirements for Florida licensure. Must carry active professional liability insurance.
Strict Non-Smoking Policy:
If you are a regular smoker or vaper, please do not apply. Many of my clients are accustomed to smelling clean air and do not wish to be exposed to smoke or chemical residues. This is also in accordance with the requirements of the landlord as it states in my lease that it is a non-smoking property.
Substance-Free Workplace:
Strictly no smoking, vaping, alcohol, drugs, or mind-altering substances of any kind are allowed during your shift or anywhere on the premises. If you are found under any influence while on the property, your position will be immediately terminated. Must be highly proficient in maintaining clear, healthy, and professional boundaries with clients, actively avoiding any transference or countertransference at all times.
Strict Professional Boundaries:
There is a strict zero-tolerance policy regarding fraternizing with clients; any violation will result in immediate termination of the contract. Must maintain high professional grooming standards.
Professional Dress Code:
Must dress with comfort and modesty in mind. Tops must be either sleeveless or feature very short, snug sleeves.
