Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on physiology, anatomy knowledge, and client communication. Educate clients on the benefits of different massage modalities and provide guidance on pain management strategies. Maintain detailed treatment records, including client progress and treatment outcomes, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all health and safety regulations, including CPR certification requirements. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their concerns, preferences, and feedback to enhance their experience. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification. Proven experience in massage therapy techniques such as Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical spa treatments. Strong knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to massage therapy practices. Excellent patient service skills with the ability to assess client needs accurately and communicate effectively. Knowledge of medical terminology related to pain management and occupational health. CPR certification is required; additional certifications in trigger point therapy or sports massage are a plus. Prior experience working in a med spa or similar healthcare setting is preferred.
