Responsibilities Perform professional massage therapy sessions tailored to each client's specific health concerns and preferences, including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their medical history, current pain points, and treatment goals. Educate clients on self-care techniques, occupational health practices, and pain management strategies to support ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient progress, and relevant medical terminology for accurate documentation. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical staff when necessary to ensure comprehensive patient care. Ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing environment by adhering to hygiene standards and safety protocols at all times. Stay current with industry trends, new techniques such as trigger point therapy or advanced physiology knowledge, and maintain licensure requirements. Requirements Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification. Proven experience in patient service with a focus on customer satisfaction and personalized care. Strong knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Skilled in various massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy for effective pain management. Ability to assess patient needs accurately through thorough evaluation and communication. Prior experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is highly preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills with a professional yet energetic approach to client interactions.
