Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. In this role, you will provide exceptional massage therapy services designed to promote relaxation, alleviate pain, and enhance overall well-being for our diverse clientele. Your expertise in various massage techniques and thorough understanding of human physiology will help deliver personalized care that meets each patient's unique needs. Duties Perform a wide range of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and occupational health massages to address client concerns. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to understand individual health conditions, pain points, and treatment goals. Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans, expected outcomes, and post-session care instructions to ensure a positive experience. Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes, following medical terminology standards. Ensure all safety protocols are followed by maintaining CPR certification and adhering to hygiene and sanitation standards. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies or stretches for ongoing wellness. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals as needed to support integrated patient care and pain management strategies. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with current certification. Proven experience in massage therapy, including Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, sports massage, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage, and medical spa treatments. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to tailor treatments effectively. Excellent patient communication skills with the ability to assess needs accurately and explain procedures clearly. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and occupational health practices. Certification in CPR and first aid is required for safety compliance. Prior experience in pain management or med spa environments is highly desirable. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends or evenings as needed to accommodate client schedules.
