Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to address client needs effectively. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals. Develop customized treatment plans based on physiology knowledge, anatomy, and medical terminology to optimize results. Provide excellent patient service by creating a welcoming atmosphere, listening attentively, and ensuring client comfort throughout sessions. Educate clients on pain management strategies, occupational health tips, and self-care practices to support ongoing wellness. Maintain detailed records of treatments administered, patient progress, and any relevant medical information in compliance with privacy standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or med spa staff to coordinate care and enhance client outcomes. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification. Proven experience in patient service, patient assessment, and delivering various massage modalities such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Prior experience working in a med spa or similar setting is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to connect with diverse clients professionally and empathetically. Familiarity with occupational health principles and pain management techniques. Ability to work independently while maintaining high standards of safety and hygiene practices.
