Responsibilities Perform a wide range of massage therapies including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, hot stone, Thai, Shiatsu, acupressure, reflexology, lymphatic drainage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release techniques. Customize treatments based on individual client needs, health conditions, and treatment goals through thorough patient assessment. Provide specialized massage services such as prenatal and postnatal massage, massage therapy for athletes, elderly clients, children, post-surgery patients, and individuals with stress-related conditions or chronic pain. Incorporate advanced techniques like lymphatic drainage and acupressure to optimize therapeutic outcomes. Maintain detailed records of client treatments and progress while ensuring confidentiality and professional standards. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate follow-up treatments or referrals when necessary. Uphold the highest standards of hygiene, safety protocols, and customer service to ensure a welcoming and relaxing environment for all clients. Requirements Valid certification as a Massage Therapist from an accredited program with current licensure or registration where applicable. Proven experience in diverse massage modalities including Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, Thai massage, Shiatsu, reflexology services, hot stone massage, lymphatic drainage massage, trigger point therapy, and acupressure massage. Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to accurately assess client needs and tailor treatments accordingly. Experience working with special populations such as pregnant women (prenatal/postnatal), elderly clients, children, post-surgery patients or those with chronic pain conditions is highly desirable. Strong communication skills to effectively educate clients and collaborate with other healthcare providers if needed. Ability to create a calm and professional atmosphere that promotes relaxation and healing. Previous experience in med spa settings or corporate wellness programs is a plus.
