SCHEDULE
Day shift, 6-hr. shifts (Tuesday, Thursday, & Friday); 1:00 pm•6:00 pm
POSITION SUMMARY
The position of Licensed Massage Therapist is responsible for developing a full-capacity practice, providing educational venues for Clifton Springs Hospital & clinic staff, community, and assisting other professional staff within The Springs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Treatment. Provide massage therapy (Swedish, Deep Tissue and Signature), hydrotherapy and other bodywork treatments for clients; assist in poultices and other special treatments; demonstrate evaluation skills, palpation accuracy and recognize contraindications to treatment Leadership & Collaboration. Assist with educational programs for hospital staff and community; participate in research projects; write articles both in concert with other practitioners and alone General Duties. Spa Attendant duties as assigned (housekeeping, maintaining supplies, assisting other practitioners with rooming, etc.)
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Successful completion of NYS-recognized massage school ​
Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
NYS licensure as a massage therapist. Compassionate, kind, and patient-focused Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
M•Medium Work•Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
