Job Description

POSITION PURPOSE
We are seeking a hospitality focused and organized individual to join our team as a Massage Therapist. The Massage Therapist plays a crucial role in delivering the highest standard of care and service to all hotel members and guests. This position involves performing scheduled services to heal and relax guests in a luxurious, private, and peaceful environment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
Greet guests warmly upon arrival and ensure all procedures regarding client care and treatments are completed including consultation forms, up to date medical history, signed consent and detailed client treatment records. Perform scheduled services to all spa guests, while maintaining excellent customer service and care standards. Ensure that guests receive an efficient, friendly, consistent, and personalized service. Monitor, operate and maintain services on Book4time POS system. Manage guest feedback effectively by communicating and sharing with management or related parties. Monitor and maintain spa supplies, including linens, beverages, and retail products, always ensuring adequate inventory levels. Work closely with Spa management to identify, train & development needs and opportunities on an ongoing basis. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, providing accurate information and resolving issues to the best of your ability. Promote spa services, packages, and retail products to guests, offering recommendations based on their preferences and needs. Maintain and organize treatment rooms & equipment to ensure a clean work environment. Adhere to all spa policies and procedures, including hygiene and safety regulations, confidentiality guidelines, and customer service standards.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCEAND SKILLS
At least 2-3 years of massage therapist experience or training, preferably in a luxury spa, hotel, or wellness environment. Active New York State Massage Therapy License is required. Active CPR certification is required. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests, colleagues, and management. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating reliability, flexibility, and a positive attitude. Knowledge of spa services, various massage techniques, treatments, and amenities preferred, with a passion for wellness and relaxation. Proficiency in basic computer skills, including knowledge of scheduling software and point-of-sale systems. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. Commitment to upholding the highest standards of customer service, professionalism, and integrity.
PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES AND REQUIREMENTS OF THIS POSITION
Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment. Endurance to withstand long hours of standing, walking, and repetitive motions. Lift and carry objects, weighing up to 30 pounds. Flexibility to bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical tasks. Adherence to proper lifting techniques and ergonomics to prevent strain or injury while performing job duties.
