Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) — Chiropractic & Rehab Clinic Reactivate Chiropractic & Rehab is an established chiropractic and rehabilitation clinic in South Tulsa looking for a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) to join our team. We already have an established massage program, an existing patient base, and patients needing massage appointments. This is not a room-rental position where you are handed an empty room and expected to find enough clients to fill your schedule. We provide the clinical setting and business infrastructure so you can concentrate on being a great massage therapist. This is an independent-contractor, part-time position with a flexible schedule and the opportunity to increase your massage hours as demand and your availability allow. Compensation $26-$38 per massage hour + 100% of patient tips Our compensation structure rewards volume. Your base rate increases as the number of massage hours you provide each month increases, up to $38 per massage hour . You also keep 100% of gratuities on eligible massage appointments. Additional compensation may be available in certain circumstances, including qualifying paid cancellations/no-shows and some personal-injury cases. There is no room rent or clinic overhead charged to you. We provide the massage room, table, standard equipment and supplies, utilities, scheduling, front-desk support, billing and collections, and other clinic infrastructure. You are welcome to use your own preferred massage tools or equipment as appropriate. You come in and provide excellent massage therapy. We take care of much of the business happening around you. More Than a Typical Massage Job One of the things that makes this position different is the opportunity to grow beyond traditional massage therapy. If you are interested in taking your skills further into the clinical and medical side of massage , we would like to help you get there. You will be working in a real healthcare clinic alongside a chiropractic physician and treating a wide variety of patients. In addition to our regular massage and wellness patients, our clinic works with people experiencing musculoskeletal pain, injuries and rehabilitation needs, including patients whose massage may be coordinated with a larger course of clinical care. For an LMT interested in medical massage , we can help guide you toward appropriate education and credentialing while helping you develop the practical skills that matter in a clinical environment. That can include improving your knowledge and proficiency in: Functional anatomy and palpation Muscles, fascia and other soft tissues Therapeutic and targeted massage techniques Recognizing common musculoskeletal pain patterns Communicating and collaborating with a physician Understanding the goals of care for patients undergoing rehabilitation Appropriate assessment and massage documentation Professional communication and clinical terminology Knowing when something is—and isn't—appropriate for massage therapy You don't have to come to us already knowing everything. We want someone with a solid foundation who wants to keep getting better. What You'll Do You will provide professional massage therapy to clinic patients, adapting your techniques to each patient's needs, goals, condition and tolerance. The LMT is responsible for appropriate assessment, massage treatment and documentation associated with the services they provide. Depending on the patient, your work may include relaxation/wellness massage or more targeted therapeutic work involving muscle tension, myofascial restriction, trigger points, pain, mobility limitations and other musculoskeletal complaints. When appropriate, the clinic physician may identify areas of clinical concern or treatment goals for a referred patient. You'll then use your training, professional judgment and massage skills within your scope to provide appropriate care. You'll also maintain your massage room and linens, communicate professionally with patients and clinic staff, and—very importantly— be dependable for the schedule you agree to work. Our patients schedule their lives around their appointments with us, so reliability matters. What We're Looking For You must have a current Oklahoma massage therapy license and a good working knowledge of human anatomy and musculature. If you don't have a license, we can help guide you through that process before you start. We're especially interested in therapists who are comfortable with—or want to become more proficient in—therapeutic techniques such as deep-tissue work, myofascial techniques, manual therapies, trigger-point work, stretching and other targeted approaches. Experience in a chiropractic, medical, rehabilitation or therapeutic setting is helpful, but it is not required. We care about experience, but we also care about the person behind the résumé. A newer LMT with strong fundamentals, good hands, solid anatomy knowledge, professionalism and a genuine desire to learn may be a better fit for us than someone with many years of experience who has stopped growing.
