This is a flexible, part-time position offering approximately 5-15 hours per week initially, with meaningful opportunity to build a larger and more consistent schedule as client demand grows. We are looking for someone who is comfortable starting gradually but wants to grow with the practice and become a long-term member of our team. The ideal candidate will provide safe, personalized massage therapy, communicate professionally, maintain strong ethical standards, and offer dependable weekday, evening, or weekend availability. Compensation is 40% of the service price plus 100% of gratuities. We provide the treatment space, existing client base, marketing, online scheduling, payment processing, linens, supplies, and operational support. Responsibilities Provide safe, professional, and personalized massage therapy sessions. Review client intake forms, health history, treatment goals, pressure preferences, and areas of concern before each appointment. Recognize contraindications and modify, postpone, or decline treatment when appropriate. Maintain clear professional boundaries and protect client privacy and confidentiality. Begin and end appointments on time. Prepare, clean, and reset the treatment room between clients. Follow all sanitation, laundry, infection-control, and safety procedures. Maintain accurate and timely client notes when required. Communicate professionally with clients, owners, and other therapists. Report scheduling concerns, client issues, incidents, or safety concerns promptly. Encourage appropriate rebooking when continued care would benefit the client, without using high-pressure sales tactics. Follow practice policies, service protocols, and professional standards. Help maintain a calm, welcoming, and respectful environment for clients. Participate in training, meetings, and practice improvements as needed. Maintain dependable attendance and communicate any necessary schedule changes as early as possible. Be open to gradually increasing availability and appointment volume as the practice grows. Skills Strong Swedish and deep-tissue massage skills Ability to customize each session to the client's needs Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications, and safe massage practices Clear, compassionate, and professional communication Strong listening and client-care skills Ability to recognize when treatment should be modified, postponed, or declined Dependable time management and punctuality Professional boundaries and respect for client privacy Attention to cleanliness, sanitation, and treatment-room presentation Ability to work independently while also supporting a team Comfort encouraging appropriate rebooking without pressure Flexibility with part-time scheduling, including some evenings or weekends Willingness to learn new services, protocols, and techniques Strong reliability, follow-through, and responsiveness Experience with prenatal, postnatal, lymphatic drainage, cupping, hot stone, myofascial work, or other specialty modalities is a plus Join a growing, women-centered practice where your skills will be valued, your schedule can develop over time, and you can build meaningful long-term relationships with clients.
