Duties Perform professional massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy to alleviate muscle tension and pain. Also chair massage in a senior community Conduct patient assessments to understand individual health conditions, preferences, and treatment goals. Apply knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to develop effective treatment plans tailored to each client. Educate clients on self-care techniques and occupational health practices to support ongoing wellness outside of sessions. Maintain detailed records of treatments provided, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with health regulations. Ensure a safe, comfortable environment by adhering to hygiene standards and safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical staff when necessary to optimize patient care and pain management strategies. Experience Proven experience as a massage therapist with a strong background in patient service and customer care. Familiarity with various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities used for pain relief. Knowledge of human physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to therapeutic massage. Prior experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is highly desirable. Ability to assess patient needs accurately through effective communication and professional judgment.
