Overview We are seeking a dedicated and professional Independent Contractor Massage Therapist to join our wellness team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for promoting health and relaxation through expert massage techniques, combined with a thorough understanding of human physiology and anatomy. As an independent contractor, you will provide personalized massage therapy services to clients, ensuring their comfort, pain relief, and overall well-being. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to build a loyal client base while delivering exceptional care in a supportive environment. Duties Perform various massage techniques including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities tailored to client needs. Conduct patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans and identify areas of tension or discomfort. Maintain detailed records of client treatments, progress, and preferences to ensure continuity of care. Educate clients on self-care practices and recommend appropriate therapies for ongoing wellness. Adhere strictly to health and safety standards, including CPR certification and sanitation protocols. Manage appointment scheduling efficiently while providing excellent customer service to foster client satisfaction and retention. Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and advancements in massage therapy and occupational health. Skills Extensive knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy. Proven expertise in patient service with a focus on pain management and relaxation techniques. Strong skills in deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other therapeutic modalities. Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop customized treatment plans. Excellent communication skills for effective patient education and customer service interactions. Familiarity with med spa procedures and experience working within occupational health settings is advantageous. Certification in CPR is required; additional certifications in massage therapy or specialized techniques are preferred.
