Job Description
Description Bella Vita Day Spa is seeking a warm, welcoming and professional massage therapist practiced in their field. They must be able to put members and guests at ease, especially first-time clients. Therapists will possess and demonstrate the knowledge to customize appropriate massage therapy bodywork and/or body treatments specific to their client's needs as well as keeping proper documentation on all said bodywork.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform a wide range of massage and body treatments including Swedish, deep tissue, sports, hot stone and prenatal massage safely and effectively. Body treatments include, but are not limited to, sugar scrubs, seaweed wraps and cellulite treatments.
- Obtain client health history through use of client intake/consultation forms, assessing problems and conditions and consulting with clients about recommended treatments.
- Record detailed notes for all clients including allergies, contraindications and therapy provided throughout the duration of the treatment and all subsequent treatments.
- Arrive a minimum of 15 minutes before all scheduled bodywork to properly prepare for the client ensuring prompt and timely service.
- Complete side work by properly preparing for the day's treatments, maintaining cleanliness of the treatment room and all the equipment there-in.
- Assist in the contribution of spa cleanliness, ensuring that standards are being met on a consistent basis.
- Be knowledgeable and provide information about products, services and fitness center facilities to all guests and members. Stay up-to-date and educated on spa retail lines as to effectively answer member/guest questions.
- Keep licensing current and abide by all rules and regulations associated with licensure as well as complete all required continuing education at own personal cost.
