Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and professional Licensed Medical Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide therapeutic massage services tailored to address medical conditions, injuries, and stress-related ailments. You will collaborate with healthcare providers to support patients' treatment plans, improve overall wellness, and ensure exceptional care.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct consultations to assess patients' medical history, conditions, and goals for treatment. Provide customized therapeutic massage treatments, such as deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, or lymphatic drainage, based on patients' needs and physicians' recommendations. Collaborate with healthcare professionals if necessary to ensure coordinated care. Maintain accurate and detailed treatment notes in compliance with clinic policies. Educate patients on self-care techniques and strategies to enhance therapeutic outcomes. Adhere to strict hygiene and safety protocols for maintaining a clean and professional work environment. Stay up to date on industry advancements, certifications, and licensure requirements. Contribute to team meetings, patient education initiatives, and clinic events as needed.
Qualifications:
Active and current Massage Therapy License in Texas. Specialized training or certification in medical massage techniques preferred (e.g., orthopedic, neuromuscular therapy). Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed massage therapist, with a focus on medical or therapeutic care. Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and pathology as it relates to massage therapy. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients. Ability to work in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform physical activities such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods. Capable of lifting or maneuvering up to [30-50 pounds], if necessary, for patient care.
