Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated VA Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. In this role, you will provide exceptional massage therapy services tailored to meet each client's unique needs, promoting relaxation, pain relief, and overall well-being. Your expertise will help clients achieve optimal health through personalized treatment plans, effective communication, and professional care. Duties Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and other modalities to address client concerns. Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual physiology and health history. Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy, proper self-care practices, and pain management strategies. Maintain detailed records of client sessions, treatment progress, and health information in compliance with privacy regulations. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, explain procedures, and ensure a comfortable experience. Adhere to all safety protocols including CPR certification and occupational health standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Experience Valid VA massage therapy license with current certification in CPR. Proven experience in providing various massage techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical massage modalities. Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to massage therapy and pain management. Prior experience working in medical spas or wellness centers is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately and develop personalized treatment plans. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence. Familiarity with medical terminology related to occupational health and therapeutic treatments is advantageous. Experience handling patient assessments and delivering targeted therapies for pain relief and injury recovery.
