Responsibilities Perform a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments tailored to client needs. Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand individual health concerns, preferences, and treatment goals. Communicate effectively with clients to explain treatment procedures, address questions, and provide post-session recommendations for continued wellness. Maintain detailed records of each session, including client progress and treatment notes, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations. Stay informed about current massage therapy practices, physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology to enhance service quality. Ensure a safe environment by adhering to all health and safety protocols, including CPR certification requirements. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals or medical staff when necessary to support comprehensive patient care. Experience Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in CPR. Proven experience in various massage modalities such as Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments. Strong knowledge of human physiology and anatomy to accurately assess patient needs and deliver effective treatments. Experience working in medical spas or similar healthcare settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with clients about their treatment plans and progress. Previous experience with pain management techniques and client-centered care approaches is advantageous. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to massage therapy enhances the quality of patient interactions.
